iAfrica Music Festival
This is an initiative of Yangambi. Yangambi is a platform for contemporary African art and culture. Yangambi’s philosophy is that art and culture of Africa needs to be promoted to a wider audience.
With this festival, we want to acquaint the public with a new Africa that is characterized by economic progress. This is accompanied with high quality and innovative artists that are a product of these current developments on the African continent. The unique sound of these artists opposes to the global trend of neutralization of music.
The iAfrica Festival focuses on artists who retain elements of traditional genres and who are able to fusion their heritage with western or modern genres. They work from an African identity and shine in a new light and push themselves to another level.
In short, we want to offer you the real gems of Africa.
